I have to tell you what just happened, A few weeks ago I posted on the flys-n-lies board about a beginning Flyfishing setup. I have had a brand new fly rod for nearly 20 years that had never had a reel on it. I asked for a few suggestions for a rookie, and Shane S. came forward and offered me one of his old reels! I have been meaning to get out to Hillsboro to pick it up for 2 weeks, but one thing (in-law stroke) or another has kept me too busy to go. I get a call today from Shane S, and not only did he still want to give me his old reel (A Pflueger 1878 in excellent shape!) , he actually delivered it to me at work!!!

Cheers to You Shane S! I appreciate what you did and hope I can do the same for someone else someday!!

Helping out is what this board is about..... and thanks all, for teachin' me a thing or two..... graemlins/applause.gif

I'll be expecting more input when I drop my boat in the water without the plug in it, again.....

Special thanks to Jen (the chromer catchin' matriarch of this site), and all you Mods....

Cudos.....just keep doin' what you're doin'..... graemlins/applause.gif graemlins/applause.gif graemlins/applause.gif

Jeep-

Totally agree. I've been wanting to build a rod and between BOE & Gus it will probably happen faster than I thought. Couple e-mails and a phone call or two and here we go.

The people are what it's all about!

PS- Dude, your fruity dancing spider man is just a little too creepy. Every time I see it, it's like a train wreck. You want to look, but you feel weird about it and it's kind of scary.
