Hardware for Fall Chinook?

I love throwing spinners and spoons for steelhead and coho. Occasionally, I've hooked fall chinook while tossing hardware, but I've never targeted them with hardware. Anyone know how effective it is (fishing rivers, mostly wading).

Chrome - I perfer tossing spinners to any other method. However, for fall Chinook my success with hardware has been virtually zero.

I can get spring Chinook, early or late run coho, summer or winter steelhead, and almost anything else to hit a spinner or a spoon. But when it comes to fall Chinooks, the only thing I've had success with is........ eggs, eggs, eggs.
