Nope, but I saw one at Joe's today during the lunch hour. Interesting looking.
You should take a shot from the other side and show the braking system...

Sturdy looking reel! It looks like a tough reel for line picking if you get a nasty backlash.
BTW, I thought the Abu Garcia Ambassadeur reels came with either a 25 year or a lifetime warranty? Or have they change that policy?

I have had on of these reels for about 3 years. It is a great reel. The price is about the same as a Calcutta. I have several Calcuttas and still like them better however.

Morrums....They are sweet little reels. I have 3 of them in the M3600 model. I also have 3 Calcuttas. I think the lazer etched Morrums actually have a more solid feeling outside frame than the Calcuttas but mine have the Fast-Cast thumbar which does not feel quite as crisp as the Shimano push button. The bearings , drag and casting potential are unbelievable on both reels and an ABU faithful could probably make a winning arguement for the Morrum.
Overall, I still prefer the Calcuttas, just because my hand likes the nuances of how the Shimano engages, etc . Maybe, we have just spent more time together.
I think you can get the Morrums at ABU's FFO for about $175 right now. I got mine at Bob's on a ridiculous sale about a year ago for about $89 a piece. They are very unique lil' specimens.

I have little to add.....just that I've heard very positive comments on them. I do not own one ......yet!

I had one, offed it really quick after I got it. It was my first reel with a thumb bar, and it will be my last reel with a thumb bar. Every bait casting reel I own is a Ambassaduer. If I ever see one of the Morrums without a thumb bar I will buy it, as that was the only thing about it I did not like.

The Marado or Murado is the reel I was talking about. They are a cheap knockoff of the Shimano series.
These Morrums look intriguing.
