OK.... I have two questions for all you fishin' gurus. First, we usually we have Coho's in the mid-Columbia by now, but with no rain, no wonder they haven't arrived yet...... :depressed:

Does ANYBODY have an idea when they'll be arriving at the mouth of the Klickitat, Deschutes and John Day now that it's howling and rainin' pigs and chickens on the coast?

Second question...... is there any way to get fish counts for the dams post 10/31?

Thanks all...... graemlins/1zhelp.gif

Check out this site for counts ... Army Corps of Engineers Portland District Adult Fish Counts (https://www.nwp.usace.army.mil/op/fishdata/daily2002.htm)

timinthegorge,

Where have you been? Sorry to say that the klick is almost over. It has been great outside since late sept. When the water comes up from the rain they are all going to go real fast and then it's time for sturgeon.

Rob, regarding the Klickitat. Is there any bank fishing for these coho? Is access difficult or an issue?

I recall reading that landowners were trying to prevent the public from using a railroad grade.

I'd like to get a little more usage out of my WA license, with this storm from the west maybe it would be a good weekend to go east, what's your thoughts?

Thanks Pete..... I'm aware of DART, but I was looking for daily counts.....

And thanks Rob..... I hadn't heard of anyone catchin' Coho's. Plenty of metalheads, and late nooks, but not Coho's.....

'Preciate the info.....

Tim,

You're killing me. This seems vaguely familiar to being on the outside looking in regarding the curado pricing.

You're about a month late for fish and $30 overpaid for a reel.

I feel for ya man.

BTW - did someone get you a reel or a raincheck?

Tim, did you go to the site? It IS daily counts for every ladder for every dam on the Columbia! It's the raw ACoE data, not DART, not FPC, which is the one that stops on 10/30.

Sorry ChromeBright..... I was turned off to the mouth fishery by the antics of the snaggers about a month ago, and there's that thing called WORK that keeps gettin in the way of my fishin' plans......

But I didn't hear about anybody catchin' chromer coho's, just mostly metalheads and 'nooks.

Have a lady friend coming down this weekend, so I may have to try it..... thanks, Tim

No Redbull...... no reels, and no rainchecks, but I'm glad you're enjoying yourself.....

Not to worry, I'll get it dialed in..... eventually. Or not...... I'm just havin' a good time tryin' to learn how to fish...... so one day, I'll know as much as you......
