its 4pm on a saturday afternoon in coburg . my brother and I are fishing a private pond for smallmouth bass and the only thing biting is the cold from the constant down pour that has just started. w eare fishing the shoreline and the coves but the fish are obviously asleep. then when i least expect it i cast to the edge of the shore and BAMM i hook a lunker .we are fishing from a 4 man raft and the fish is so big that the wind and the huge fish drag us to the other side of the pond i fight the fish for twenty minutes .when i finally land the thing the raft is shredded on the bottom from all the trees we ran over that were just below the surface. according to the girth and length of the bass it was a new state record . i got to get my picture taken with Hank Parker and it was published in field & stream.Hank then invites me to the next bassmaster classic. he says i can be his fishing partner for the event .what a week I had. but the worst part about it was that the alarm clock woke me up from my dream and reality struck Hankstr :sleep: :cheers:
