Take a look at the Tbay webcam...There is some big surf out there right now. I've been watching it grow all day today. Look at the waves breaking on both of the jetties and the swells up the jaws...Ouch!

That is the link...For reference, you can usually see the jetty on the left and right of the picture. Where all the white water is now.

Fished tide water in Wash. today, talk about a high tide. Holy cow, must have been 8 or 9 ft. even the Columbia was way up !

Yeah....High surf, fresh rain, and hi tides seem to me to be a good thing for bringing in fish. Not sure about the "high wind" thingie though.

There's been some 10 foot tides in the middle of the night. It's rained..maybe not significantely, but enough I think to bring in some fish.

We're off to the coast for the weekend. I'll pull this post up when we get back for an update.

Wish us luck.

****** "ie" on Saturday....The sis-in-law and sis-in-law's boyfriend on Sunday. say Hi if you go by!!

Later..got things to do.

Just put a reply to the status of the Trask on another thread... got blown off by the horizontal gale force winds today. NO FISH! Launched at 7:30 got blown off around noon. Very few boats, even fewer fish. Did not appear to be much increase in river flows from the rain they'd rec'd.

Did swing by Barview... surf on the jetty was amazing... worth the trip by itself.
