Well I'm not a hard core fisherman like most of you, but I do enjoy getting out. If I catch one or two fish a year that is good for me. But this year has been different. My usual method in tidewater is with a bobber and eggs. I caught one fish early in October with eggs and then one on a spinner. So, with the high cost of eggs, I decided to stick with the spinner. Didn't fish much during mid October, but since the 30th till today, Nov. 7th I have hooked 12 chinook all with a spinner. Like I said,I usually only catch one or two. So for me, this has been a good year, and I'm loving it. So now, I think I may hang up the bobber rod and go to spinner fishing, although I love that bobber down. Anyway, has anyone else used a spinner exclusively, and how well do they work up river? Thanks

The cool thing about spinner fishing is all you need is waders, a rod and a pocket sized tackle box. You can cover alot of water when not burdened by bait jars/tackle boxes. I've had the best luck always using a smaller type spinner, sometimes very small. I had a friend who almost exclusively used spinners and usually did very well, he always stressed technique.
