Actually they never fazed the silvers out of the river. They save about 30 % for the washougal and give 70% to the klickitat. All the silvers in the Klickitat are washougal fish...

There are silvers in the Washougal, for what ever reason there isn't very many right now.But then there's not very many anywhere
except in the nets.I fished the slew and the also the tip of lady island today for about 6 hrs saw one fish released and one lost out of about 30 boats there may have been more caught but I didn't see them.Silvers have been seen going up the river in small bunches.I understand there was a few caught last week off the tip of lady island.

I was born and raised in Washougal, lived right off the river by Hathaway park. I remember when the river was great for silvers. To bad it's not that way anymore. :depressed:

The Washougal is a great place to watch water skiers consume alcohol and play music real loud in a confined space

here is the skinny the very skinny

The washougal is (like everything else) EXTREMELY LOW!!!!!!!!! I'd guess that it is running less that 100cfs though there is no guage. This river is basically good for nothing till we get some rain. There are lots of salmon rolling in the slough I don't know if they are coho or chinook cause i don't wanna go down and hang out with the snaggers to find outbut i see them rolling every morning and evening as i drive by.

Claybear,I remember you, how's things going
yea, Al was a good friend of mine as you know.
We worked together for about 3 yrs before we realized that we knew ea. other from WAAAY back,I was 7-8 and he was 1-2 yrs. old.Our folks were good friends and we used to camp with them all the time. That was a waste of a good man.Good to hear from you.Sorry to hear you used to be married to Kay.See ya soon.By the way the Washougal is nothing more then a big creek right now.I fished in the slew the other day and the only fish I saw jumping were old DARK salmon and DARK Jacks !!!!.There was a couple silvers caught that I know of, one was a nate. and the other lost.I talked to a friend yesterday who saw two caught in one boat but that was all.We NEED RAIN !!!! at least a couple days worth maybe even three.
Bob

If you catch a Silver in the sough don't be surprized if it has wakeboad marks on its back  I think the guys wakeboarding on Sunday afternoon could have been sited for endangering other boaters. I thought about fishing with a top water plug, man that reel would have been screamen if I hooked one of thouse guys.
