Yaquina River today

Put in at Canyon Quarry and motored down to just above the mill and began trolling with the incoming tide, started out promising....had one on at 8:00 am but it came unbuttoned. Nothing else all day :depressed: Only saw 2 other fish, did speak with the State police at the ramp coming out, they had only seen 5 chinook...but they had found quite a few boys with coho....gotta know the differences guys!
They say they have caught 17 people this past week...one guy with 5 coho...ouch.

I put in at the airport ramp and headed down river. Things were pretty slow there as well. Saw a few netted this morning, but then the rest of the day was nothing. We boated one jack. Saw a few coho bonked as well. I was kind of wondering just what the people were planning on telling the stater at the dock!

The state game officer said things had been good earlier in the week, but things have progressively gotten worse.
