Bought my new 19' Alumaweld Stryker the last week of July. She's been a virgin ever since, until yesterday......
My buddy Dick and I were fishin' in the mid-CR pullin' warts. We were goin' for metalheads, but instead, we tied into 3 big 'nooks.....
His was the first, about 40. We don't know how much it really weighed because it straightened out the hook on my 50 lb. digital scale! Not kidding...... it was a pig! Dick is currently firin' up the Big Chief at his place! When he raised it up for a photo op he tore her gill plates and the blood just boiled out of her. My boat was finally slimed and bloody! I was lovin' it!!!
Next fish, Mine! About 20, maybe more, another 'nook, and in better shape. Took me half an hour to settle down after Dick put the net around her.......
Next was his, about 20, another 'nook, and a beauty!
We ended the day with me catchin' a gorgeous little nate metalhead about 6 or 7 lbs. She was released unharmed with forceps while still in the water.
YeeeeeHaaaaaa! The skunk is DEAD!! It was a day on the water I will NEVER forget! And the river looked like a piece of glass. Perfect weather, perfect fishin', and the perfect fishin' buddy........ can't beat that with a stick!
No digi cam's on board but we did get pics, and I'll take the film in Monday AM and have them put it on a disk. I'll post 'em unless they're lousy...... because my hands were shakin' like a leaf in stiff wind......
Tight lines everybody! Tim
