41 trips without a fish ended today !!! A native 14 lb steelhead landed and released on the North Fork Lewis. I saw the fish and on the 5th cast with sandshrimp, FISH ON. I am so glad the stink is gone. AND the first trip in the new boat.
Saw alot of dark salmon and a few bright ones too.

The Lewis is pretty clear and seeing that big fish moving back and forth and feeling the power, been a long time for me.
Like the boat, Alumaweld super vee.
Guess I can say, it's not the catchin that's important but just being there.

Whew!! I thought I had it bad, only one on my tag for 30 or so trips. That's why we call it fishing not catching!! :smile: :grin: As long as you enjoy being out there fishing the catching really doesn't matter..ummm well that's my story and I'm stickin to it!

Kaus...If I were you I would mark everything down you did that day fishing including times/conditions/what used/location down to the smallest detail. Sounds like you need a lucky hat or shirt or something to make you believe. :grin: There is something you did or didn't do to make it happen. I admire your perseverance to say the least. Now.... get some more!

I'm sure a lot of folks can relate. I have been there done that. Lately I have been accused of being a "little thick" around the middle. Must be from the fish I caught in September. Sure nothing happening the last 4 trips to T-bay for me.
BOE ruined the slough for all of us. Seems he ruined the trask to. I'm off to the rainbow trout farm so I can remember what a fish on feels like. :rolleyes: Oh no, this just in, BOE and Kaus have been there. I am in real trouble. Safeway, here I come. :grin:

Who me??? Oh..., No....., I catch a lot of fish...... Ya....., No, really...., I can remember catchin' a lot of fish...., and not not not all that long ago...., either..., in fact, Uh ..... you know..... my buddy was with me.... you know..... what's his name.....Uh, you know, he used to fish with my dad... what about my dad ?? !! :wink: :wink:
