Launched at Toledo and trolled all the way up to Elk City. Lots of fish jumping, only saw a couple hanging from boats. We did not get a bite... tried herring, spinners, quickfish... nada. Most of the success were from bobbers.
As we were taking out, several boats at the ramp had fish... all caught in the River Bend/Oyster Farm area.

blubeast thanks for the report. Headed over Sunday and Monday. With some fish still low in tidewater their could be a good bite up around the mill in a day or two on incoming tide. Sorry you had a hard day today. The fish are there just have to be where the bite is and when it's on. Good luck next time.

Chinookie, it was still a nice day.... only would be nicer to put some salmon in the freezer.
Plan on trying again Sunday.... may see you out there... 15' white Sylvan, with ifish stickers on the sides in the back.

Thanks for the reports ...I think I've got to give the yaquina a try. So a little help ? To fish the Oyster farm and River Bend area , is it best to launch at toledo ?? They are downstream from the launch ? What kind of depth are you looking for ?? leader and dropper length ? Gees ! Questions galore !! Thanks in advance and if i go sunday that will be me in the blue north river . All the best.

Swanpie, the airport launch is probably the best out their. Fishing is good both ways from there, down stream you have Riverbend and the Oyster beds, upsteam you have the mill aera, barn hole etc. From the mill area down i perfer using purple or blue lable plug cut herring with a flasher, upsteam from Toledo I still use herring but also like #7 cascade spinners with copper or gold colored Kwikfish bait wrapped. I like atleast a 18" drop, and you have to keep it on the bottom. Not dragging. Good luck, look for both you guys out there Sunday.
