John Day Pool

I haven't seen very many reports, so fishing must be good. How long does the summer steelhead fishing in the John Day pool last - especially up the arm for the river itself. Does this hold up through November?

I drove through the parking lot last night. (Lepage) There was about a dozen truck/camper/boat combinations camping getting ready to go today.
I've heard the fish are there rolling but the bite has been pretty slow.

Thanks Les. Usually Bill Monroe gives this fishery a line or two in his reports - so I continue to keep an ear on the ground. I have an opportunity to set up a trip in mid-November for someone wanting to try out their boat and I thought this would be a good place to give it a go.
