I'm headed down to Medford this weekend and I may have time to peel off I-5 to hit a couple spots. Will I have to hit a tackle shop to pick up a license or can you get them via some ATM-type things that I've heard about somewhere?
tks,

Thanks Geek.
While I always like to support local indie tackle shops, speed will be of the essence this weekend. Any places on or around 5 from Eugene to Roseburg, where I'll likely be splitting the I-5 monotony?

any of the stores mentioned above carry licenses, and a lot of the mom & pop gas stations do too down here. At the Merlin Exit #61, about 5 miles west of I-5, there is the Lil' Pantry that carrys them. Or there is a store just back up off the exit after Blackwell Hill (just before Central Point) that has them. The Rogue is getting a lot of the half pounders showing up. Any where below Grants Pass should be worth a try. Or even the the rifles below Valley of The Rogue Park (if you are heading to Medford). If you want salmon, there is still quite a few below Grants Pass. The river is closed for Salmon above HellGate Canyon, but there are lots of salmon still below that. Take the Merlin Exit and head west to get there. The Galice area should be decent from the bank for salmon. We will be throwing flys at half pounders tomorrow. Good luck!

Right after you come over the Columbia River into Oregon, I think it's the second exit (Delta park/Hayden Meadows) and there is a GI Joes and a Fishermen's Marine - literally 2 minutes off of I-5. It's a sure thing.
Good luck.

Thanks everybody! I'll find somewheres to pick up a card if I end up trying to fish.
