I'm headed for the Umpqua tomorrow, probably dropping in around Reedsport and fishing between there and big bend. I've had my best luck at high slack which is about 6:30am tomorrow (Sat 10/12), but was wondering if anyone else had luck at other times.
Anybody get down there this week? What times/tides worked best?
I'll bring back a full report.

Good luck and leave a few for me to catch next week. When I get home I will E mail you the web page that has Umpqua information.

Usually it would be no problem leaving some for you, Keta, but now I've got my hands on your secret weapon. I'm figuring on being back on shore drinking coffee and bragging by 10:00.

I haven't heard any real good reports from there lately. No lack of fish, but finding biters has been spotty. I haven't personally fished it since we've been into fish every day here and seem to manage a couple on each trip. It's just been mixed signals. People in the know are doing ok, but on average it's been slow up and down the coast.

Tailchaser pretty much summed it up. Kinda slow with a few fish here and there.

Keta and GSA-
Please include me in the Umpqua info loop as I apparently need all the help I can get.
I am bound and determined to do better on/in the Umpqua and am not too proud to ask for and gobble up insider information from the masters.

Coho fisherman on the Rogue sure had a better week this week.. huge numbers of coho right on time!
I will be on the Coos again this weekend.. I spoke to an old timer who catches a ton of fish in the Coos and they did really well again this week, even with what he called marginal bait... I gave him some good bait  but haven't heard how he did today.
Crabbing has also been really good !!
My rule of humb is to not stop trolling tide water unitil we get a huge rain.. there are still lots of fish in the river.! I am taking ifish's very own Ramstrong Sunday morning... say hello if you see us.
The Coquille ?? I spoke to Richard Dishambo host of Oregon Outdoors (I will be his Thursday guest on his radio show 5pm KWRO AM 630  ) anyway he has done pretty well on the Coquille this week? 4 fish in two trips.. I also heard of a great bite just below Riverton on Wednesday.... 6 boats w/ 20+ fish?
I guess my point is to not give up.. keep spinning good tight bait!
I'll post a report Sunday evening or so...

Thanks for the advice guys, but arrrrrgggghhhh I can't go tomorrow. My brother is building a house and has to get the tile laid this weekend so the carpet guys or someone can come in and do whatever it is they need to do. No way can I leave him hanging, but oh god, it's gonna be hard to be inside layin' tile instead of outside layin' it on 'em. ohmyohmyohmy.
Maybe if we get done I can get out Sunday. Yeah, that's it. I'll be able to go Sunday. Sure.
Ohmyohmyohmy - uh...I already said that. I *really* needed to go fishing tomorrow. Ohmy
