Well I will reply myself first I guess. I lost my connection on the computer before I finished. Well I am glad to be a member of I fish and look forward to sharing information and tips with you all. I know a fish story is sort of in order so here goes.I think my most memorable trip would be one day on the North Santiam river. It started out that I was talking with some gentlemen fishing at the Jefferson boat ramp and after watching them land three fish in a half hour I caught the fever so I went and hooked up the sled. Nobody could seem to go along when I offer so I headed up the river to a few spots I know well, the first place I fished I landed 7 steelhead and one was a keeper(early summer run). the next hole I went to yeilded 3 fish. One and a half hours later I returned to the ramp having hooked and landed 11 steelies and getting two nice fresh fin clipped summers. The guys at the ramp had silly looks on their faces when I came back so soon, they were saying stuff like why ya back so soon? and should have stayed here and fished. I got the last laugh because I showed up with pictures of all 11 and my 2 keepers.

Well to tell you a little about myself, I grew up fishing the central Oregon lakes and the Metolious and Mckinsey rivers for trout. In 1985 I began to persuit salmon and steelhead. I owned and operated my first sled in 1990 and now I own a 20' alumaweld guide sled and a 16" Willie guide model drifter. I have been blessed with being vary successful at fishingand catching these trophies and have been able to pass some of my skills on to my friends. This year is my first year of guiding and so far catching has been good. I have been fishing fall Chinook this fall on Nehalem, Tillamook Bay, and recently alot on the Alsea.
