excuse me

I've lived in Oregon over 3 decades. I still can't get a handle on when the stubborn jet stream is going to finally change and bring it on for us. We can't rely on the tv weather forecasters obviously. Although I think a while back they predicted another wet fall and winter. When??
I have this sense that the dry early fall is going to linger on for a while. They call it an Indian summer for some reason?
I love to fish but I am getting tired of dragging up grass in t-bay and got tired of sitting on anchor out in the Columbia. The few chances I had to go outside to fish south of the Garibaldi jetty the bar was closed. Tidewater is still a bit warm for a good bite, with some exceptions I guess. I think they are having more fun up in Washington in either big cooler glacial melt rivers like the Cowlitz or out in Sound waters.
But I am itching for enough rain to moisten the parched coastal watersheds so the Wilson and Trask and other rivers will come up and settle into that gorgeous green that always serves up lots of chrome! I don't want to troll forward much longer this fall. I want to backtroll. And anchor over the perfect green flowing coastal hole that's a pleasure to fish, and always holds the excitement of expectation. Bring it on Lord.
