Upriver of Toleda was way slow! A few takedowns early in the morning but couldn't button them up. Lot's of dark fish too.

Good Morning!
My wife took the boat out yesterday with a friend. They fished down around Riverbend for about a 3 hour period and had a blast. They brought home two, a small nook and she got a nice bright 24 lb hen. They kicked 4 silvers loose at the boat and had 5-6 more strikes besides that. She assured me that she has finally got this plug cut thing down pretty good!
She even cleaned up the boat before I got home from work! I really do love her!!! graemlins/hearton.gif

Hey Spoiled,
Sounds like you're dialed in to Yaq. or at least your wife is............Are you using store bought herring, and what size if you are? In all likelihood sunday is going to be the maiden voyage for the year. Congrats on your success!

Cast n Blast,
We have still been jigging our own herring in the lower bay the CG station, then run up river from So. Beach Marina. Makes a long run, but I really like having the fresh bait on ice and it is still readily available on an incoming tide.
We caught fish on Sunday too, but the wife couldn't go. She had to show me up... I know I should have never have shown her how to run the boat... She is gonna head out this PM too. Now there is two of us in the house with fish fever.............
