Was out there today and fished with at least 12 boat in the Ghost Hole, nadda fish. But I did see two fish taken home.
I hear the ocean will be flat tomorrow. Captain Dennis will be out there in it . Me, I gotta stay at the ranch and hold things down.
I had my chance today. I can't wait until next tuesday, my DAY OFF!!!
I did see tons of fish on my fish finder tho!
Big ones too. Only if they were in the biting mood. Not today!

Based on the picture it looks like you own a Bayliner Trophy? I've got one as well.
Sorry you didn't get anything. Was it too rough to fish outside the jetty today? I know they've been hammering them out there.
Good luck on your next day off!

Did you use one of your new red & white spinners with the white back combined with your shrimp scent? I figured it was a sure thing. Going to try one of those spinners I picked up from you last week this Thursday.

We trolled the ghost hole using purple herring, nadda bite. We were having shifter probslems, but got it fixed after we were done fishing, couldn't quit once we got there.
Yes we have a Bayliner Trophy. Just got it.
Not bragging either. We waited for 30 years to get one. Can you wait that long?
Nice that you were able to tell what kind of boat it was by the picture I took. How did you do that?
Captain Dennis just left for the ocean, to try his luck on what ever bites! I'll give an up date later today.
He promised a fishing buddy a trip out today!
Next tuesday is my turn again!
Have a Great Day fishing or what ever!

Hey Marie!
I wanted to stop buy on Sunday but it was too late. I hooked a couple but didn't land anything. I will say your eggs are beautiful and the scent does work!! We'll probably see you this weekend. Btw...nice boat! Looking at it on Saturday really peaked my interest in a big white boat!

What I really liked about it (my boat) was , I was warm in it. Compared to the others that were all-bundled up, and I just had a regular shirt on with a fleece vest. I was very comfortable indeed!
I like being spoiled! Or at least just warm.
Not too much to ask for, I think, especially when its raining out.

Well Captain Dennis went out today and saw most fish being caught just outside on the south jetty area.
Kinda slow still. Saw some fish cauught, not many.
Being that he went ouside he thought he'd have a better chance of bring something home.
Well no salmon today, after dragging a purple herring around. So he decided to do bottom fish. He couldn't keep the ling cod off his hook.
Caught a keep lingcod 36 incher and several see bass. He went south.
He thinks most of the first run of fish are holding in the upper bay. They're waiting for the next rain splash. Be at the mouth of the rivers and be ready, knowing they are there.
Spinners are the ticket in the upper bay. Red/white and chartruse with green spot are very popular. Also spinners with a small crystal flash skirt seem to be doing well.
The boat did very well today! Had it at 40 mph, smooth as glass.
Marie :-)

Captain Dennis, Had the same kind of experience you did today. Not a hookup outside but did mange to redeem myself in the ghost hole with a rather small but bright chinook. We did release on coho outside that hit like a freight train. I got a couple other reports that some guides did real well with green label. I fished purple and black! Oh well.
