And addition to the question: Has anyone heard if this recent rain has sent any silvers up the North Fork Nehalem?
Thanx.

Thanks Petermac I was just going to sit on the sidelines and get everybody elses report.
I did not get home to almost dark last night so it was tough to see if much was moving. The river is still low, we got about 0.55 inches of rain but the hatcherey may have gotten more. I saw a couple of wakes moving through so a few fish were moving but I did not see the riffles come alive with white water so there apparently were not that many. Hopefully tonight I will get home before dark so I can take a look.
If we get more rain on Thursday things should be heating up.

Onelast,
Where are you on the North Fork? Our property is in that Riverbend Estate area. Do you know where that is?

We're counting on the big tide changes to help us out this weekend on the Nehalem. Since you guys are all talking about silvers, does that mean the chinook run is pretty much over?

I wasn't going to mention the eggs. Didn't want everyone ganging up on you. Thanks for them and the info.
No we didn't do any good. Didn't see a net fly all day. Fished from the RV park down to Paradise Cove. Stayed on the water till about 5pm. Worked the area around the island behind Nehalem really hard. Got a bump down by the bridge on a spinner.
We'll back at it this weekend. Got to get slowpie a fish.

Onelast,
Let's see, is Riverbend the one that you enter right at the Aldervale bridge? I always get that mixed up with the place up by Ericksons on 53 (we access our land through there, that may be called Riverside Estates) My Dad has a house up on 53 past Ericksons about 1/4 mile or so. That property has a great salmon hole.
I am getting out of here shortly to come down and see if anything is going on.

PeterMac I live in Riverbend. My house is the Grey house in the middle of the old pasture. Pretty much right at the top of tidewater. Do you have a lot in Rivebend? I know about your property that is adjacent on the North.
Bllelk, the chinook run is just getting underway for the fall fish. The best weeks are yet to come. I talked with some people that were nailing the chinooks in the ocean at over 300 feet. So the fish are still out there. Did you get a chance to use those eggs? Things were fairly slow after I saw you. Caught and released one silver.
