If you are going to go and troll the Siletz is very crowded and fishing has been slow. The bobber fishing has been ok but its tough with the big crowds. Not crowds like the Salmon river Snag festival, but crowded non the less. So I would say try the Siletz if you want to bobber fish try T-bay if you want to Troll.

Opinions??

Going to do tow duty for Bentrod's Duckworth. He's over at Depoe Bay spending the week, but his wife gets his truck for tomorrow. Assuming I can walk tomorrow(%$@##$%@^^% back!! :depressed: :depressed: ) I've graciously volunteered to play hookie from work, and use my vehicle to go tow his boat to somewhere to catch a fishie    .

Obviously, the Siletz is closer than T-bay, and neither of us has ever fished the jaws/South Jetty on T-bay. He's got a 19ft Duckworth SJ, so we're not too bad off for going outside, as long as the swells and wind are quite nice   .

I suppose the Alsea is also an option as well, just haven't heard much from there.

Any suggestions??

My suggestion would be to avoid the Siletz. Tides are weak and getting weaker. I'd try lower bay/big blue if you have the means. The Salmon has been stacked with fish but if you've never been there before and aren't ready to see cottoneye joe and the rednecks avoid it too..

Ohhhh, yeah, the Salmon is my Bankie home away from home!!! Don't ya see my reports?  I don't think my partner would enjoy it (but I do   )

Another option is the jaws of the Nestucca, never been there, but lots of boat trailers lately at the lower launch at PC. Mighty zipperlipped, though....I understand it's a pretty small place.

I'd fish the south jetty if you can get out. Lots of fish just waiting for you. Let us know how you did and where you ended up going. Brian

Ohh, um... you're a salmon regular? I was talking about the Salmon river in ALASKA! Yea, that's it! Lotsa rednecks up there
