I heard an introduction is mandatory on Ifish, so i guess i'll take a minute away from picking on my Aunt Gus and tell you:

I am 17
From Idaho
Love to Fish
Favorite Fight is Shad on a Flyrod on the Umpqua
Related to Gus, (Kind of)
Did I mention I love to Fish
Oh Ya I occasionally Deer hunt in the Trask
I tie Flies (for a hobby and personal use)
Father used to own a Fly Shop in Lincoln City
Restoring a 1965 Ford f-100 Pickup

My most foolish fishing story has to be my first trout,
I was fishing town Lake (in Pacific City) with my brother and my Dad. After all day of no fish i finally hooked a small rainbow, out of sheer excitement i pulled as hard as i could as the fish approached our raft, The trout came flying out of the water and slapped my brother cold right in the cheek (No joke it was a perfect shot)
the look on his face was so funny.

Well i guess thats enough for my Intro

Later

Nifty, "from Idaho" ... does that mean you've moved to OreeeGone? From your fishing stories, it sounds like it. What all do you fling feathers at, besides shad? Ever pitch for steelies? I have this dream of catchin' bright nooks on a fly ... but then I wake up.

Nifty:

Sounds like you've got all the right credentials -- except that I didn't hear anything about going over the tops of your waders in ice water. Nonetheless, keep up the all-around efforts. With that variety of interests, you could be (like lots of the rest of us) a story gold mine!

Welcome nifty shifty
Hope this site helps with the home sickness rather than make it worse. At least...I'd be home sick if I had to move to Idaho. I fished Town lake as a kid myself and Hebo lake also. Lots of memories of reeling in fat trout on small flatfish type lures. My Dad never used bait he was strictly a fly and lure guy. It rubbed off I guess. When I fish trout I'm the same way.
