Well, me and a friend went out Sunday afternoon and tried our luck bobber fishing. The river is full of fish all the way up past the railroad bridge but the aren't interested in biting. I think they were there just to torment us with all there jumping and thrashing they were doing. Anyhow, no fish this time.
While I talking about the Nehalem, I would also like to vent a little frustration with some of the river dwellers down there. On my way back down river, I went through one of the many 5 mph zones at 6 mph per my GPS. One of the dwellers yelled at me to slow down. I told him I was doing 6mph per my GPS and he yelled a profanity back at me. graemlins/icon_argue.gif I have run across this several times when I go through this area. Some time I wish I could just fly through there on full throttle because I don't make much wake on plane, but maybe in another life. Like I said, I'm just venting.
Fishing will probably pick up when the rains come.

Get Hooked, I can see the five MPH because of the docks. If I had a place on the river and a nice dock, I would hope that boaters would do the slow down for courtesy.

Now on the other hand of the law side. I read in a boaters rule book about six years ago. That on the Nehalem river you had to slow down to 5 MPH going by the docks in the upper stretch of the river-unless you were towing a water skier. Go figuire! I'm sure they changed that rule by now.............Bobber Down

Carefull here guy's on the 5 MPH zones. A lot of it depends on the mood of the Officer or property owner at the time your going threw. I know that may sound crazy, but I had it put to me that way by a marine patrol officer one day.

Best advice I could give you would be to just watch your wake. If it looks like your upsetting docks or the boats tied up to them, SLOW DOWN. Its not worth the hassle.

Okay fellas, I know you are responsible for any damage your wake makes, but wouldn't there have to be some proof on the plaintiff side that you caused the damage?
