Put my " Outcast" pontoon boat in at Foster on sunday A.M. and did some sightseeing on th first 1/2 mi. I pulled up in the middle of the river and there must have been at least 1000 fish within my sight, it was awsome to wittness those warriors that had come through so much, and were gathered to finish the cycle of life. There were so many fish breaking the surface that you could not hear the current running. Most of them were pretty battered up, but it was still a sight to see. I just floated by those guys, and fished for summers down river in some faster water. To finish up my day I landed 3 summer run fish, and I kept the last one. Fish were all caught on # 3 brass/black spinners. I overheard a guy on the bank saying they are still recycling steelhead down to waterloo. I did not see 1 other fisherman the whole day. I guess it"s a "getaway" destination now.

Sounds like a really great day on the water ... lots of fish, some on the hook and no pressure. What fun!
