Fished the Columbia this afternoon a couple of miles below the dam. Had a couple of good take downs and lots of line bumps but couldn't get one hooked. Same up and down the bank on spinners and Spin-n-glows. Yesterday I saw a couple nates landed but had my kids along so I didn't fish. There are tons of fish in the river but they just weren't on the bite.
One of the "regulars" was nice enough to give me a couple of RR spikes when he left. Thanks!
Another very nicely let me know that some people get upset when they see others using Tough Line. I promised to slack my line at the first sign of a hookup and we proceeded to have a very pleasant conversation.

PS It doesn't matter how many times I've seen it, the Gorge at sunset is truely a spectacular sight!

What's wrong with tuff line?

Tuff line cuts mono like butta.

Classy fishermen honor another fisherman's hook-up and pick up their gear when a hooked fish heads their way and drop slack if the fish should get into their gear before they can get out of the way.

It is also considered good form to use heavy enough gear to land fish in a timely manner or move clear of the hole when fighting a fish so that others may resume fishing.

Regardless of fishing method, consideration of fellow fishermen is greatly appreciated.
