OK guys I said I would give you all a report after I got back from taking the work crew out fishiing over the bar.
First of all I didn't get sick due to all the help I got from you guys on the PILL POST. I went with the patch and was feeling great all day ! There were 15 of us out on the boat and the person that got the sickest was the deck hand ! Poor kid got to hand it to him.... he kept right on workin baiting hooks , netting fish and praying to york. Six of my guys paid a visit to the temple of york but they kept right on fishing too.
The fishing was soso it was about 10 wild fish to 1 hatchery fish, so everyone got to reel in at least 3 fish and at the end of the day every one took home a real nice COHO the largest went 15 pounds the rest were all in the 10/12 pound range with 1 at about 5 pounds.
All in all the guys all had a great time and want to do it again.
When we came in there were only 15 to 20 boats around bouy 10 so I would take that to mean not very good in the lower river. Well there you have it........Big Dave.

Here it is Big Dave. Easy for me to find for you (I just went to your profile and hit "view recent posts"). Funny though - it doesn't work on your own posts. I guess no one thought that you might want to g obac kand se other viewers replies. I think I'll drop Jennie this note. I seems like a good thing to have available.

Disregard e-mail, Dave. Pilar found it.
Amazing how fast threads head south this time of year!

Hi Big Dave We were out there too on SAT. Slow at the CR but nice fish not too many thow-backs for the ones we put in the box. Just a couple fish short at 1:00 we were on the way back in. Put down just outside 4 and in minutes had three rods down all at once. Biggest clipper of the day and one we just couldn't stop.... except for the fear in the fog it was a perfect ending to our salmon season..

Hey Sherry Marie - Looks like you tried to sneek in here but you got caught.
Post an intro and give us a story (the CR report doesn't count - it was a stealth story).
PS -Welcome aboard. I notice you have a Seasport. Are you docked at Warrenton or Hammond (I'm in Warrenton).

We hit the basics B2 and CR, had a a few nice hits and a native at CR but overall it was slow. Meandered up to B1 and headed North, at about 11:00 ish rods started bending all around. The bite finally came on and we were done in short order with 3 limits.
Witnessed the "Arbitrage" hammering them, man I couldn't believe the amount of fish they put on the boat. They were using dodgers which might have made some difference ?? but all in all they seemed to be the hot boat.
We wrapped up and were headed in by 2:00, great end to a great season.
Crazy salmon days are over for now!?
Tub O worms and Skywalker how did you all do, sorry I lost track of you!

Gus,
We headed over a little north of one & got into em real good, couldn't keep all the rods down with the bite we were in. only problem is that about 90% of them had to many fins, so after going through 7 doz baits we ended up with 5 in the box, all were big w/ one @ 17lbs. It was a great end to the ocean season, calm seas & mostly sunny. Even got the wife out & got her arm tired enough that she wouldn't take the rod anymore near the end of the day. It was nice to see & talk with you out there Gus!

Good to hear to caught up with them as well. I make sure I have coyotes now so that if the bite is fast and herring is getting shredded at a rapid rate I have a safety net
sorry I got the moniker wrong, waves, nofish, no sleep all create a failing memory

Ok Ok All I wanted to do was share the good time we had on Sat.. Here's the scoop. Maiden voyage in our new 24 Sea Sport, I was so happy to see blood on the Deck. We lost our other Sea Sport two weeks before the salmon opener this year to a young fella running a stop sign.. got the suburban too. It has been a long season watching the postings and wishing while I dealt with the ins and got the new one going.. THe best thing in life is headin out in the morning with the sun at your back... I'm glad to be back if only for the end of it. We are not in dock.. hope to be running from port to port... Hope to see you on the water.... Look for the "sherry marie" she's a beauty...
