Ifishstock 2002 was a great event, enjoyed by at least 70 folks that showed up for a day of helping kids, fishing, crabbing and FEASTING with new and old friends.

Thanks to all the people that had attended. I had a great time. Nice to put more faces to peoples handles here.

Pete, Thanks for the open seat invite and great catching buddy. My bigget fish to date. A whopping 24lb'er.

A great big Thank you to Jennie for putting this whole thing together and for her hard work on Ifish.

Also thanks for the Sponsors that added to the whole event.

Drachir, I did a little photo editing and it's really easy to lighten up picture's when they come out dark. Like this one.

Looks like everyone had a great time and I didn't see anyone wearing rain gear. I hope Jen has one next year. I believe I have my wife talked into going to one next year. It is quite a long ways from Lakewood, WA, but it looks like it would be just a fun weekend get-away. <'///>< Ken

WOW!! What a great time I had!
It was very nice meeting everyone. So great to put faces on names. Thank you Jennie & Bill so much for all your hard work. That is truly a subburb of heaven you live in.

Now for a fishing report....
Saturday; JohnnyMac and his friend David fished with me from daylight till about 3:00pm. We just couldn't get the hooks in 'em and finally had to give up skunked or miss the party. A good day in the end however because John ended up with that great TH Custom rod. What a beauty!!!
Sunday; Fishinbuddy and I had a better day today. We were in the rip right off the tip of the south jetty, barely moving and bumping bottom and I get the first hookup. As soon as I picked up the rod I knew something wasn't right. It just didn't feel right. It put up a decent fight and then it was at the boat. Ah ha! Thats why; lingcod!
Brian (fishingbuddy) was next he missed a fish but minutes later covered himself with a nice fish in the boat est. at 12lb.
Couple hours later it was my turn again and this time it was a target fish. About 16lbs I'd guess and with three fish in the box we bunched it and were off the water by 12:30.
Now it's time for some rest. Thank you for your excellent company Brian, John, and Dave. May the Fish Gods smile upon you!

South tip eh? I wonder if thats what was nippin at us on the way in yesterday??

Anyways, AWSOME day!! Sometimes even the smell of a skunk can't ruin being on the water with good company.

The picnic was a kick, and winning that rod really blew me away. I simply don't win stuff. Thanks TH and Jenny for the exception that made my day http://www.vhforums.com/vhlforum/graemlins/bounce.gif http://www.vhforums.com/vhlforum/graemlins/thumb.gif

Great to meet some of you folks too. Fishplay, smily, Jennie, Pilar and a few others. Great food, great company, great time.

Well, I missed the party. I didn't get up there until about 10:30. Though I met up with greg (fishplay) and fished the south jetty today. I missed one fish in the morning, then landed a nice little football chinook. Greg caught one and got a lingcod trolling a herring. Weird! Ocean was pretty flat today. Had a great time! Thanks for the trip greg! Brian

Both Kiwanda and I were camera challenged  but some nice folks who were camping snapped a few pics with their digital cam and sent them. Also, It was nice putting some more faces with the names.

Mike, thanks for the help. I think we made a pretty good team. One of these days we'll see about fishin' together.
