Three of us fished saturday from 7:30 ...last of the incoming ...behind south jetty and at 8:15 put a 14 lb buck in the boat ... lost one when the leader broke off the trailer hook , should have checked that !! Ended up with 5 to the boat , released a coho and took 4 home, all bucks ...plug cut purple right on the bottom ...trawlers were close in off three rocks in the am and by pm were right off the green can , about 75 feet ?? close . a bit bumpy in the am but layed down as the day went on ... decent bite after low slack right out front....All the best ..Swampy

Swampy,

I tie a double line on mt trailing hook.

When you tie the first hook leave a long end behind the knot. after tying the first knot run this line through the eye of the first hook and then put the second hook on puting both lines through tha eye. Fold the short line back along the hook shank and tye the second knot over the short line and hook shank. I have never had one break.

Definantly a decent bite going on at low slack. We released a nice coho, missed a take down, bonked a fat 43lb, and 10 minutes later bonked a 20lb. Lots of nets flying today.

Thanks for the info. I will be putting boat in at Garibaldi Marina for a month starting tomorrow morning. Marine report doesn't look very promising for the week but tomorrow looks the best day of the week. Let you know how it is.
