OldRedSled,
Sorry if I sounded a little short...they reopened all year this year for the first time, but no one seemed to be out there much...it was a bit sporadic early, but sounds like time has come...
The tables actually come off a Casio Forester model watch (green band) that I bought at Freddies. I had it set by Gary Waterhouse at Great American Tackle in Clackamas...if you can find the watch, he's happy to have you come in...Most seem to like the times, although the author of a book on catching trophy trout poo poos them. I think it's entirely possible trout don't pay as much attention because they don't live with the tides...I dunno...the watch is in my dest drawer under lock and key...I do them every Wednesday for the following week...
I watched the Coast Guard pull two boats away from the end of the jetties at Garibaldi yesterday ... even on a calm sea, the jetty sucks, literally. Both boats lost power and were moments away from catastrophe, just minutes apart. The 25 foot Bayliner (AFB?) was pulled back from the brink by a kindly Arima as they awaited the CG arrival. When the CG arrived, there was another boat contemplating eternity and in need of immediate assistance. It constantly amazes me how little respect some people have for the ocean and for their own lives.

Why do they call it a "bubble"?

Yes the TRIANGLE is open. there were about 150 or so boats there this morning and then as the day progressed people started to spread out. I bet I say a good 50 fish caught....non of which were in my boat as the skunk landed dead center of my trip haha. I saw a few guys carrying around some real nice upper 40's low 50's salmon at the Marina when I took out. I think I will give the skunk a couple days off and then head out again Wed. Good luck
