planned to go. wife made plans to go to the bank to see about refinancing the house. who wins? you guessed it.
I'm not old enough to know from experiance, but from what I hear the wife always wins
I would have gone but I made arrangements to hang out with the Columbia County Sherffif's Office tonight and watch them bust some bad guys
SHLEPROCK
09-14-2002, 07:08 PM
Shleprock can't play today, He has to smoke and can salmon before he can go hunting. It sure is a lot of work but it's worth it
I already had plans. My family had planned a four generation birthday party for me. I just couldn't get the guts to skip. I didn't know about ifish until just a few weeks ago. Hope to go next year.
I would have liked to have gone, since my wife grew up in that house with all the dog kennels just a block or so from the logging bridge on the Kilchis River Road (Gray Family). The dog kennels moved in after they moved to Grants Pass. My wife used to swim at that logging bridge hole in the river as a kid. She loves to go back there for a visit.
I caught my first chinook in Tillamook, a 27 pound hen in the fall of 1987, just outside the jaws on a friends boat.
Enjoy the popcorn.

ACE hope all is well . Rest up and take care
I would have really enjoyed going and meeting all the new folks and the senior ones. Buuuttt, sometimes the call goes counter to what I want to do and I've got to go with it. Did have a good time at a great outdoor concert meeting many musicians and another promoter which shared many of the trials and tribulations of organizing large festivals as I am doing this next July.
I hope eveyone had a great time and ate lots of food. I know how cool it is to put a face to a name.

Would have been fun.....planned to go a few weeks out but the boss made other plans for me. Kids had soccer games so even if I would have been off I would have gone to those. They both won their games, wish I could have seen that too. :depressed:

Jen, set the 2003 ifish party date no later than lets say May 1. We should all be able to plan that far ahead.
Jennie@ifish
09-15-2002, 02:46 PM
If I plan it May 1st 2003, and the party starts November 13th 2002, will you all be able to make it?
If I plan it May 1st 2003, and have it on August 20th 2003, will I be able to make it?
I'm thinking of having it earlier next year. No hunting, no football games.

I couldn't come because I got in a car wreck (NOT my fault!) on Friday night. Just sore  today, so I headed out and we put a couple a nooks in the boat on the Yaquina. Both small, but right out of the ocean near Riverbend Moorage.
It helped ease the pain! Will try to make it next year! SD

I spent the day hanging around the house since my wife had to leave today (Sunday) to go to Philidelphia for 9 days on business. :depressed:
We did some things with the kids. I would have brought the whole brood over but she had committed to watching her sisters kids for the afternoon. Wish I could have been there...

I think next year I'll have two threads.
Who can go to ifishstock?
and
Who cannot go?
I have a feeling the second thread might be very popular. Like.... in running with the North River thread.
How can we get you all together? I am GOING to do it, one of these days!!!

I would have liked to go as well, but, I had a previous committment to help roast a 230lb. pig for another Party. I thought it was to be next week, but found out Friday, it was yesterday. Had fun ,but was thinking about ifish party at the Park most of the time. By the looks of the pictures ,there was quite a turn-out. Hopefully next year. Tom

Sorry I couldn't make it, I was in the desert. Yup, El Pasa texas. I had plane tickets before you announced the date Jennie, I tried to change them but they were gonna charge me an extra $100 so I decided there is always next year.

I didn't go because I just got my boat (well three weeks ago) and I just HAD to fish.
We don't have a truck big enought to pull our boat  so I couldn't come if I was going to fish.
I don't have the gear to bank fish.
We caught another 20lb hen this weekend -- second fish in the boat.
Sorry I missed it, see you next year!

My brother's 25th Wedding Anniversary party was the same day. I spent the afternoon standing over a BBQ cooking fish that we caught while with Miss B Haven. Everyone said I did a great job. The fish disappeared, so it must have been good.
I will mark my calendar for next year and if you start to party in November, count me in.
