Sturgeon and steelhead below John Day Dam

I have to take three people fishing tomarrow and all they want is to catch fish. I was thinking about sturgeon below John Day Dam. I can catch them pretty easy there. Has anyone been fishing around there or above the dam? Thanks for any info.

Never fished Sturgeon above the dam but I do well at Columbia city or mouth of Lewis Then you can catch Salmon two :cool:

Not sure but check your regs...I thought that area was closed some time ago to sturgeon retention at this time.

I t is but catch and realease is a lot of fun because if you loose a big sturgeon it is ok Early to bed early to rise fish all day make up lies :tongue: <font size="2" face="verdana,arial,helv">
