I'm taking all the guys from work down to Ilwaco this coming up weekend (Sept. 14th) for a fishing trip. I chartered a couple of boats so we won't be all packed on to one and will have a little room to move around.
Anyway I am wondering if any of you have heard how fishing is down there. Some of these guys have never been before and I sure would like to see them hook up.
None of them wanted to go into the ocean so we will be in the river some place.
Well thanks in advance for the information.....Big Dave.

We fished in big blue today about 4 hours, in the river for about 2, fairly rough in the ocean as the wind was blowing some. We had two fish landed in the ocean, one clipped one not. We had two Chinook on in the river but both came unbuttoned. IMHO it's very slow we talked to the fish checker at the dock, he said we were one of the lucky boats...lots of boats with no fish

Very slow Saturday and very choppy. Caught a bunch of natives and shakers. one hatchery and that was it.

Pulled the boat out and headed home..

Fished the ocean between #2 and the CR. Caught a few Silvers mostly Natives. Was so choppy it wasn't much fun so headed for the River where never saw a net fly. Medicate yourselves and head for the Ocean. If your gonna fish the river bring a good book or a Gameboy.
