Nehalem Saturday high slack and ebb

In the water at the 101 bridge ramp right at high slack. Set crab nets, put family ashore (per their request), and fished the ebb from the Jetty Fishery as close to the mouth as I could. Ran back and did it again, 3 times. No fish, and no fishermen. I was the only one out there (hmmm, I wonder why I have the river to myself). Pulled a spoon deep and shallow. Pulled plug cut herring behind diver and fishflash. Lots of grass. Nothng on the fish finder. Fished the Wheeler area on the way in. Word of 1 caught above the bridge. Very few guides, no signs of fish at all. 2 keeper crab. Ocean was flat around 6 PM. Will fish upriver (Lewis or Frenchman's Bar) Sunday AM to watch the hog line guys work out.

No Limit....

Same here...Fished on Friday...Not 1 fish hooked near Wheeler on the early morning incoming. Heard there was a better bite up in the Nehalem Bend (7-8) fish.

Went in the Ocean...1 Native Silver....for 3 hours.

Fished near the Mouth....saw one fish caught, 15 boats. Lots of grass.

Good crabbing though....4 Pots, 2 Hours...11 Keepers on frozen shad.

We are all waiting for the nookies to come. Do you suppose this will be one of those years that we do not see them until late Oct or early Nov? It happened a few years ago. :depressed:
