Today, a beautiful black lab/german shepard mix showed up at my back door.
He won't leave. He is looking inside my door, heart broken. Kilchis loves to play with him.
He is probably mid life, all black, over 100 lbs, and has the eyes of a dog that has been loved.
I cannot keep him, and he is not reported as missing with the two sources I know around here. He chased my cat off, and I can't let my chickens out, until he leaves.
My heart is broken for this animal. He's a good dog. When I open the door to let Kilchis in, he steps in, too. When I say, "Outside" he stays.
:depressed:
I couldn't help but feed him.
The neighbors, across the river, say he was on the logging bridge road 4 hours ago.
Why would anyone dump him? He has been loved, and I don't know what to do.
Tillamook has no humane shelter. I don't want to fence him in, in case he is owned by someone and wants to go home. If I drop him off tomorrow at the vets, they will give him three days and then put him down. That means, 2 days of them closed, and one day for rescue.
:depressed: :depressed: :depressed:

I am so heartbroken for this beautiful dog. Can anyone help? Suggest something? Take the nice animal?
He is not neutered... He is so beautiful, and when I go near the door, he wags his tail and gets so excited. :depressed: :depressed:
Right now he is asleep on the back deck, really peaceful. He is a mellow sort. Bet he would make someone a good bow dog.
I was looking forward to fishing in the morning, but if he's still here, I'm going to drive him into Portland to the humane society.
Wahhhh :depressed:

I tell him to sit. He sits.
I tell him to lay down. He lays down.
I took him for a walk on the river with Kilchis and Dee Dee.
He disappeared. I came up to the porch, and there he was, laying on the bed I set out for him.
Bill won't let him come in.

Bill won't let me have him.

I'm running away with the dog and Kilchis in the morning.

Looks like I have someone complaining about how I operate the board on Life In general.
I'll move the thread and play by the rules.
