Went out of Garibaldi and first headed out to the south Jetty. Saw several chinooks caught at low tide as it began to run in. The early bite was right at the tip of the south jetty. At 8am my partner hooked and landed a 25lb hen right at this location. The bite was then sporatic with a few fish being caught during the rising tide. We hooked and released several coho's and small chinooks. As it slowed we went out to the 250ft level and found that the water had gone up 5 degrees in 5 days to 58 degrees. Fished here for awhile and then headed in to the 200 ft area where the charters were. Again hooked and released several coho and small chinooks. We then went back to the south jetty and was told that the bite was not hot but that it was just steady. Fished through the high slack with no luck....oh well, it's still early...and the ocean was a flat one.
