Thanks for all the posts and advice on how to use the alvins. I anchored in 50ft of water and was soon joined by 3 other hog liners looking to fish same depth and location. ( Wa. side across from St. Helens. ) Alvins were the gear of choice by all. A total of 37 boats recorded for 11am to 7pm tide and 1 kept 20lb Nook was the bounty for today :depressed: . I rigged lead on slider with 5ft leader and 5ft leader to alvin. Tuned em just right for nice slow action, and began my many turns at walkin em back. You know the rest.  Was great day and little traffic except for that twin 30' ish Rocket haulin up and down the river.

We saw that twin engine boat go down river and then back up, we were at French men's bar. We saw a few caught in the am and a few caught in the pm. We had three takers two didnot stick and we landed one high 20's
