Fished at day break today, which also coincided with a weak tide change. Bite came on at first light and what there was of it seemed to be over by 9:30 or so. Mostly locals and light pressure around the Coyote Rock area.
We had two strikes and missed them both. Let two jacks go at the side of the boat. Saw 7 fish landed and 3 others missed by folks in other boats. Almost everyone is pulling plug cuts behind small flashers. We got both our strikes without the added flashers.
We pulled out at about 10 AM and will try the Yaquina tomorrow. Big fish on the board at Coyote Rock RV Park is 55 lbs.
