Been thinking a lot lately about how much longer I have to work. Man, what I would give in order to be out on the water three or four days a week. Work really sucks when you think about. I get almost five weeks off a year, and that goes by in a hurry when you start adding up hunting season, family vacations, etc...
didn't really have a point here other than to say you guys are lucky!
I hope the runs are as good as they are now in 25 years when I retire... :hoboy:

I have to smile at your post. Being retired, I think back and wish I were young and working and only had 5 weeks or so to play per year(besides weekends). I never knew what it was to feel like I was dragging my tailfeathers when I under 60. All the things you can do like make life dangerous for elk and fish. What you are probably doing is looking at the greener grass on the other side of the fence. We let me tell you, if it looks better on my side of the fence its only because there is a lot more manure over here. Be grateful for your youth and live and play hard enough for a dozen men.

Very true BS
I definantly wouldn't trade this time in my life, it has its advantages. However, time and money are not one of them. I look around at all these sweet boats out on the water and can't help but drewl and daydream. I know for the most part mine won't come untill I roll out that 401k some day.....

Bigshark has it right. I can remember thinking how far off retirement was (never actually seemed real) but, before I knew it, here I am. Be sure to keep putting as much into the 401k as you can, and leave it there as long as you can, because you'll need it. And be sure to maintain fishing & hunting partners so when you do retire you'll have others to go with & share the fun. The fishing & hunting IS better monday thru friday (at least not as crowded)but if your pals are still working, or dead, or moved away, its not nearly as much fun :depressed: . And, take lots of pictures and keep a diary of your outings.
