Hi - I'm a brand new member... the name seemed to fit cause that's usually what I tell my wife when I get home. Wondering if anyone can tell me how deep the folks who are anchored in 45-50 feet of water by the tankers that anchor just west of the Willamette mouth are fishing and what's the best bet for lures?

Fish the bottom with alvins or similar wobler. 48"-60" leader with lead line about the same.

Hey, Skunked! Welcome. Spin us a fishing yarn ... it's what we do instead of hazing.

The area, among the big ships that you describe, is called Frenchman's Bar. Do a search for recent posts and you'll find out lots. However, there's no substitute for a little time on the water to figure out how the contour of the bottom and the effect of tides changes success rates.
