I always used lead at bouy 10 can any body tell me how deep the delta vs. the ez 4 oz goes at 20 pulls? My fishing partner has delta divers and I have Ez diver 4 oz.

It has been my buddies and my theory that the Delta divers run 1.5 feet per pull. So if you go 20 pulls, you're fishing 30 feet. Maybe we're wrong, but we've been catching the fish.
But I guess it can all depend on how far "1 pull" is? All rods are made different so the distance between the reel and first eye can vary.

I have only used divers once but it seemed to me that a higher percentage of the fish threw the hooks. :depressed: Is this the case?

Keta - I used to be "diver diverse" (any dang thing but a diver). I got convinced. They are just to dang effective. The big thing is tight lines and still deep. You can fish close to each other, close to other boats and still get down if you need to. I'm talking big delta's here, not those puny little woossy divers that drag out behind the boat.
I can run 4 deltas off the stern and two long lines off the top and never get tangled. I'm a believer. AND - they catch fish (COLOR and FLASH you don't get with a dropper or bannanna weight). oops - top secret - I'll have to kill ya - "purple stripes - the Astoria special" Mooohhhaaahhaaaa!!!!
Sometimes I get more fish off the long lines with just a weight and or a fish flash, but not this year. I think the fish are drawn up under the boat this year and that's where the divers will produce. Right in the prop wash, right in the box!
