Heading over there next week to fish the lakes. Anybody been there lately? Places to go? Places to avoid? Techniques that rock? Have boat, will travel. :grin:

Havent been up there this year, but Id try Crane and fish the mouth of the Quinn River. There is a deep channel and the fish will be there with the heat of summer. Good luck and let us know how ya did :smile:

You might want to check out the link below. It has some kokanee reports from Wickiup and other lake info for where you are headed.

I fished Wickiup for Kokanee the past two weekends and the fish are past what I consider good eating. Smokable? The water is very low and dropping. The "river" upstream from Gull Point is closed after Sept. 1. Unless you want to fish for browns you might want to check out other lakes.
