Today's bite started slow, but definitely picked up about an hour into the tide. We woofed the first takedown, but boated the second. Funny thing was, that fish weighed 24 lbs on the river, but only 21 at home...... graemlins/eek13.gif
In order to beat traffic, we left the good company of some other ifishers (Baitboy, FM and ?) right in the middle of what seemed to be a fairly good bite.
Hope you guys got into them!

Beat traffic? Should have waited until the tide ran out and you would have missed the traffic.
The bite seemed to be very depth specific. Only a few boats were catching today. The wind kinda made things tough as the day wore on. No fish for me but a some did quite well.

WMB...nice to see you out there and congrats on the fish. I was on a 'ride along' in Rick's boat getting the 411 on Frenchman's.
From what I saw, it looked like an ifish flotilla down there. FM, Tilla, Old Red Sled and a few others I am sure.
Rick thanks for the ride and the crash course on Frenchman's. Glad to hear you picked one up.
Going out again tomorrow to scout a new area.

I was down on a lower line. Sureset showed up a few minutes after I did and anchored to my left. His fishing partner proceded to hook three fish in the first 20 minutes(tule-released, coho, URB). I was doing some sight seeing with the binoculars when someone yelled "FISH". Looked back to see my rod dancing. Boated a 27# hen.
Waterdog showed up and anchored on my right. Didn't have anymore action at our end of the line. A couple of boats at the other end picked up a few later.
Nice to see Sureset and Waterdog out on the river. See ya again, I'm sure.

Sightseeing........... OhhhhhhhKayyy. I've never seen anyone move so fast! Nice Job Bill. We actually brought back 2 URBs, one was only about 8-9# so it confused us for a sec. Second fish was clipped but we never noticed until we had already tagged it. Had empty hatchery tag slots too.....Darn.

Congrats Stugeon42 -
Nice meeting you. When I saw your wife and those flowers on baord I just new that she was going to catch a fish - nice touch.
As for me we missed a good share of the tide and didn't get any fish, but it was good to be on the water and not at work! We said hello to Waterdog as we went past their line with sureset and brshooter in it. We joined the line with old red sled and FM, but nothing happened in our line that late in the tide.
To quote Arnold 'I'll be baaaack'! And earlier. I'm sneaking out early today.

Brought an 18#er to the net around 3PM. That was the only take down. It was a SLOW day.
