I was fishing on the upper Wilson last week and was checking out the insect life in the stream. I saw hundreds of these polywog looking things near the shoreline. They were black, round with a little tail. Never saw them before so I was wondering if anyone knows what they are.

Tadpole, anyone?

Wait a month- you can then call them frogs.

The reason I wondered is becasue there were so many of them. Literally thousands!!! Well I guess I'll be squishing a lot frogs on the road to the Wilson this fall and winter
