Yeah, she's bragging...
But just so I'm not completely obnoxious....
Caught on a cut plug herring, with a diver and red flasher at 16 pulls....
I was fishing with just a 10 ounce weight and a cut plug, but after consulting with Dr. of all "Dial a guide advice, Dr. Dennis Stewart, of Salmon Master Guide Service (http://www.ifish.net/salmonmaster.html) I put on the flasher set up.
Sure enough! That was the ticket!
Got it with the boat turned sideways, just about slack low.
Darn fish hit really strange, and didn't fight at all.
I think it was suffering from heat exhaustion as well as I was.
I spent the day with my bare feet dangling over the side of the boat in the water. Man, it was hot!
Really strange, too. On the way home, we were watching the temp in the car... It was 101 in Warrenton, and went down to 75 in Seaside! Strange! I guess marine air.
Anyway... Caught the fish at slack tide. Guess there was an early morning bite, and someone got a 51 pounder. Very slow the rest of the day. I was just lucky.
The fish hit, and hardly fought, like I said. I could have netted it 5 seconds after hooking it, had Bill had the net ready. It was kind of like a crane operation.: Lift the rod up and direct it in the net. Not that exciting, but still, I was happy to 'have feesh!'

By the way, timed myself at the boat ramp, did not run into anyone, and clocked it at .44 seconds.
 We are quite the team!

Nice Feeeesh Jen. How come there aren't any boats around you? Did you have the river all to yourselves? It wasn't like that the last time I was down at B10

I'm sorry.
I tend to say Bouy 10, every time we go to that area of the Columbia.
We were at the church hole, Washington side.

Hey Jen,
Good for you! That sure was a nice Chinook. I saw you out there today, in the B-10 area. Thought I saw someone in Salmon Master's boat get one B-10. Then again, maybe my brain was "fied". Man, was it hot!!
On my way home I also noticed the 74 in Seaside, but 85 going over the hill to PDX. That was strange.
Keep up the good work!

Salmon Master was not fishing today.
How come you didn't say hi?
I didn't see anyone except for Pete and BR that I knew out there.
Would have been fun!

Jen,
I only saw Salmon Master's name on the side of a blue sled. I didn't look at anyone in particular in the boat as they were busy fighting a fish. Sorry I missed you. By the way, I was the guy in the Alumaweld boat wearing a baseball cap and holding a fishing rod. Remember me?
(Just kidding!)
