Years ago I used to run a drift boat down the S. fork of the Nehalem from about Cook creek road to the Mohler gravel pit. Is this still a good drift and can you still take out at the gravel pit? I have been by the pit on a weekend and the gate was closed. Where else would you take out and is there a shuttle available? I am thinking of trying that stretch of river for fall run nookies. Any help would be appreciated.
