I notice most of those side trollers out there at the start of the tide - and usually they are guys in large glass boats who troll with the big motor. This leads me to believe that they would troll right on past the buoy if forced to go east-west, so they turn and make big circles and make everybody else take evasive maneuvers to avoid them. I agree with you Tundra - they should be more considerate and stay out of everyone's way, or fish upriver until the tide runs strong enough to hold them against the current.

Was there last week fished two days for a total of about 7 hrs. Boated 8 fish, 2 Chinook and 6 Coho. The thing I see every year happened in front of me again last week. A third of the boats put their bows into the incoming tide and maintain a trolling speed which will keep up with the tide or allow them to slowly drop back, and then they pull up their rigs and run back down to B10 and do it all over again. Then another third of the boats troll with the incoming tide up to B12 and then pull up their rigs and its a race down to B10 again. The last group trolls vertical across these groups and in the process snag everyone elses rigs or force people to to make evasive maneuvers to avoid problems. I saw one dude snag several other folks lines as he attempted to weave in front of and behind of about 25 boats. These guys who zig zag against the flow really make it difficult for everyone else. With all the fingers flying and the cussing going on that jerk never got a clue and continued to pi$$ people off. Just another reason why I usually avoid getting that close to the big red can. Had to vent, whew, feel better now.

Ya - but Tundra - All them boats and goofy guys that like to walk across the freeway during rush hour are at the deadline because there aren't any fish in the rest of the river. If there were fish upstream it would be really crowded and ugly right ?? I wouldn't even be able to get my boat out of the Skippinon, they'ld have to put up a traffic light probably
