I would like to go fishing one last time before I go back hom to Ohio. I have been on one charter for bottom fishing and I did limit out in 2 categorys but Id like some opinions of what your favorites are. Thank you for your help.

I went out of newport last time so either there or coos bay.

I fished for Salmon last summer with Neport Marina and Charters. Great day of fishing and a limit for the boat on Chinook.

They do bottom fishing also.

In Newport it's the Irish. The guy is retiring soon so get it while it lasts.

I just got back from going out of bandon. (20 m in south of coos bay) and we d idn't get jack squat.... the charter didn't even do very well..... The bar was nice but the ocean was kind of lumpy...... Depending on when you are heading home, Next week I am going to be hitting all kinds of fishing hard. bottom, salmon, EVERYTHING..... Hopefully the weather will cooperate...... and if you are still going to be around, you are more then welcome to come hang out on the boat with us. I might even be able to get another pole for you to use....

The charters out of Newport are heading to Seal Rock and are reportedly slaying the lings.
The ocean is supposed to start laying down so it should be good tomorrow and great the rest of the week.

Hey Moby thanks for the info. I was fishing out of newport a couple weeks ago and caught 2 legal lings and about 15 to 20 black sea bass. Had a great time even though I couldnt keep em all :smile: Let several go after I had limit just having fun. Hope to get a couple big lings tomorrow.

We have had pretty good luck with Tradewinds out of Newport. The Irish is always bringing 'em home...
