It's now been 2 weeks and finally my boat is at the shop. They plan on ripping the floor out and cutting the bottom out. I want them to replace the bottom in full and not just to weld the three cracks. They "should" be done with the work by the end of the week and will take another 10 days or so until I have her back in the general area for pick up. Man what a hassle.
I plan on trying to hit the Buoy on Friday morning. I have an older fiberglass deep V that I am running until I get my ride back. It's a closed bow 19 foot Reneill with plenty of free board but I am a little hesitant putting her in the big blue. The OMC motor seems fine but it's a 1975 and I'm sure that it hasn't had a whole lot of attention since then. I may have an open seat due to my buddies work situation so if anyone is interested let me know. See ya on the river....
