Have confirmed reports of a 48.5, 50 and a 53 caught Saturday in the Columbia esturary. 700,000 and some of them BIG PIGS. Now thats exciting............ I just can't wait.
I wonder how big those 5 salt fish that will be swimming under my bobber in tidewater in 2-3 months will be with an extra month or two to fatten up........... ******, sharpen up the 6/0's and check the drag washers, I've got a feeling that well see some 50's in tidewater this year for the first time in way too many years.

You assume that he'd have time to cast while dodging the casts of the bankies. He'd better be in a Kevlar model.

I really want to go with an experienced tidewater angler. I have only fished once on the trask in tidewater. Seemed like a real crap shoot for us (we didn't know where to go). Tough to read the water! I have a Willie drift boat, with a 15 horse 4 stroker. I'm ready! What veteran out there wants to show a (experienced angler - just not this technique) new frogwater guy the ropes?
Or does anyone know of a great tidewater guide. Thanks to all and to all a good night.

MM,
If you want to learn form some of the best, book a trip with Scott or Gary Ammerman. It will take you years to accumulate the knowledge you can learn from them in one day. Ask them to take you on the river you plan on fishing, I would suggest starting on the Trask, lots of fish and you won't get lonely.

A truck driver and his long time partner were applying for a long haul trucking job. The interviewer ask, "If you had a load of chickens stacked to 14', your partner was back in the sleeper, and you suddenly found yourself approaching a bridge with a clearance of 11' what would you do?" "I would wake up my partner, of course" replied the trucker. "Could he help?" asks the interviewer. "No, but he ain't never seen a wreck like this gonna be!"
Let me know when and where, Angle. I want a good seat.
