Not too long age there was a thread on spinner blade- how to color them so they don't spook summers. One of the responses was to hold the blade in a candle flame til it turns dull.Works well but one side is caked with soot and it is slow to get many done.Last week we were BBQing fresh coho and the idea came to throw the blades on a piece of tin foil and bake away.It worked pretty good.Duller than me(now that is dull). No swirls however so the next try will be with some WD-40 on the blades.Or oil of some kind. This should get the swirl effect that has been very effective for us in the past.Anyone else do something like this?
